The colour scheme is the same as the front however (orange and black), this keeps it looking more professional and interesting. By outlining that the next issue is just 50p may capture the audience’s attention because it is outlined in orange and their isn’t any other thing that’s orange on the contents page, its interesting because it’s drawn to you in a certain way, that makes your attention automatically drawn to it.
The fonts used are the same within this page, sticking to just two fonts, however the main font that is used is different to the front cover and for it to look more professional it would be better if the main font style and additional fonts would remain the same, so that way you are just using two or three varied fonts. The colour of the font being black helps it to stand out well against the white background and makes it look more interesting especially because the font is in a fancy style which infers that it’s for a younger generation because adults wouldn’t really like fonts like that they would prefer simple to fancy.
I got my page names from my questionnaire, I done this by asking several people and making an average of what sort of pages they would like depending on what boxes they ticked. I kept the font to the names of the pages in the main font so it reflects on the contents title and then changed the font to a simpler, easier to read font so you can see clearly what page each thing is on.
Lastly at the bottom of the contents page I placed several images of images I have taken and then three other images that I have not taken of celebrities, this way it makes it more interesting for the audience to think it’s not only students from the college in the magazine but there is pages about celebrities too, and also by doing this it breaks up the faces within the pictures as you don’t want all the same faces all the time a variety makes it much more interesting. I chose this selection of images in particular because you can see that some pictures would be from the college party, some from student’s photography and others in general of students around college doing different things.
I arranged my images like as it makes it more interesting to look a bit messy, as young people don’t want to look at a perfectly arranged magazine, they like to see imperfections and changes to usual things that their parents would look at.
