The target audience for my media music magazine are teenage girls aged 14-19. They are young and have their own individual style compared to other social groups. These “glossy” type of people like to hear about other celebrity interest and upcoming music, they like to attend festivals and see their favourite artists performing live, they want to hear about the world of celebrity, they like make-up and fashion also. They spend their money on clothes and make-up and cd’s, downloading music, going out to parties by knowing this information about my target audience it helped me to determine what to put on my contents page and what sort of things to advertise on the front cover.
In my magazine I would sell advert space for typical products that my target audience would buy like make-up, clothing shops, iPods, gigs or festival tickets. By doing audience research it helped me to determine what adverts for products could be in my magazine.
