The New Musical Express (also known as the NME) is a popular music magazine in the United Kingdom, published weekly and it has been since March 1952. It was the first British paper to include a singles chart, in the 14 November 1952 edition. In the 1970s it became the best-selling British music magazine.
NME’s weekly price is at £2.20, around 56,284 people read and buy this magazine per year 73 percent of the audience being male and 27% being female the average age of the person reading this magazine on a whole is 25 and this magazine targets the audience of men aged 17-30 years old.

By finding out facts like these this helps them to adapt all this to their magazine in some way and make it more interesting for their particular audience, from this they have things to apply to the front cover and also most of their page and contents headings sorted out. And then also know that these things are what the reader wants and they know it will appeal to them.
