This feature article is across two pages and it sticks to three main colours, orange, black and white, the colour of the orange changes shades throughout the two pages but keeps with the same colour in itself, this makes it look better as it doesn’t look tacky but keeps it looking professional and making it look more interesting by changing the shades of colour, also the white main text used is outlined by black, this keeps it bold and eye-catching. The other white text used is laid on a black background so you can tell they have thought through how they will keep it clear the read for the audience. The colours used are used to fit in with the type of audience that would read the magazine, perhaps a teenage audience who like to listen to rock music of a midlist class. There is only one font used, this keeps it looking professional and neat also. But they vary from having Caps Lock on and having it off, this is used to emphasis titles, and other bits of information that the creator wants the audience to notice. This feature article consists of two images, one main image and one other featuring image. The main image is placed on the left hand side of the page, it is a middle long shot of the band; taking up a whole page, the effects of this is so that if you’re having a quick flick through you will instantly see the artists and if they interest you then you will read on, the props that they are using is a hand-grenade, this relates to the type of people they may be, slightly destructive and violent, and loud, this relates to their music as they are rock/punk artists and their clothes also being dark. The middle person is making eye contact and one of the others that is holding a grenade is looking around, looking quite scary; and the other person is facing his head down but looking up at the camera, this is showing a slightly violent side. The language used has some rhythm “Stop, Drop and Roll”, this relates with them as a band also because it is referring to music. And “Back track” is using rhythm also. If people do not know who this band is at the top of the page; acting like a second title advertises the fact that they are “Garage-Rock artists with alter egos”.
